Decisive Talent, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an immediate opening seeking a Systems Administrator located in Huntsville, AL.
*This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a DOD Secret Clearance which candidate must be a U.S. Citzen*
General Summary
The Information Technology/ System Administrator will support the Task Order Lead and a team of engineers and analysts on a high-visibility Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) program Task Order for creating a new early integration and development testing Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) lab for the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system. The successful candidate will work with the chief architect, cybersecurity team, system administrators, network engineers, test engineers, and domain engineers to construct a new software and hardware integration lab. The system administrator will help to build, configure, and maintain lab systems. The system administrator will help place equipment in the lab spaces, establish connectivity for interface testing, install and configure software, and perform system- and component-level troubleshooting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Creation and maintenance of user accounts.
- Hardware repair/replacement and software and firmware upgrades.
- Assist with creation of artifacts to obtain authority to operate the lab.
- May occasionally be required to work extended and/or off-nominal hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of the bachelor's degree.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Previous GMD experience.
- Previous experience building STIG- based systems.
- Ability to write, update and follow standard operating procedures.
