Decisive Talent, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an immediate opening seeking a Simulation Software Developer located in Huntsville, AL.

*This position requires a bachelor’s degree and must have a DoD Secret Clearance which candidate must be a U.S. Citizen*

General Summary

Decisive Talent, Inc. is seeking a candidate to join a focused software development team to build a 6-DOF missile simulation for an exciting new program for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Development will take place in a fast-paced Agile environment. This position requires a skilled multidisciplinary engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and thrives in a highly collaborative team environment. There will be a focus on applying modern software development techniques and best practices to design and implement new capabilities. There will also be opportunities for detailed data analysis. The candidate must be an excellent communicator, detail oriented, and be passionate about producing quality products.

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Python, Cython, C/C++, Java, or similar programming experience
  • Familiar with modern software development principles, tools, and best-practices
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Experience developing 6-DOF simulations
  • Experience on missile defense programs
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis on simulation data and document in technical reports
  • Desire to both learn from and mentor others and share knowledge across team
  • Agile development process experience
  • Experience writing unit tests and using continuous integration tools
  • Experience with configuration management tools, e.g. git
