Decisive Talent, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an immediate hire seeking a Reliability & Maintainability Engineering, Team Lead located in Sterling Heights, MI.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Reliability & Maintainability Lead is a key role within the engineering team, focused on driving the design to achieve R&M targets to deliver the highest levels of performance to the platform and crew for the Next Generation Combat Vehicle/Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (NGCV/OMFV) program.

• Manage engineering reliability personnel in planning, performance, and documentation of reliability activities.
• Develop System Reliability Model
• Develop hardware and software reliability predictions
• Provide Reliability Allocations to IPTs
• Conduct R&M Evaluations
• Generate Reliability Critical Item List for Hardware
• Develop reliability block diagrams and math models.
• Orchestrate the develop the DFMEA with IPT support
• Lead the effort to execute the activities identified in the R&M program Plan
• Support and present at human factor reviews and soldier touch points to elicit soldier feedback 
• Responsible for all elements (cost, schedule and performance) of the reliability team.
• Establish and maintain a system for tracking status of test incident reports, to include distribution, failure analyses, corrective action and management reports (IST, FACARs, DARTs)
• Develop Bids and Proposals, BOEs based on SOW, System Specification requirements
• Manage the test team’s workload, conduct team meetings, assign projects, set priorities and monitor progress
• Ensure all safety, security, and compliance requirements are known and followed by team members
• Manage relationships with all stakeholders to ensure R&M performance is optimized and be able to manage the political dimensions associated with a high profile program
• Support and adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations & policies
• Control and deliver a large scale project, including financial expenditures
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time. Occasional travel to Europe may be required
• Undertake other duties as determined by the PA&T Manager &Engineering Director or his/her delegate

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems)

EXPERIENCE:

• 15 years minimum experience in the application of reliability and maintainability analytical methods for ground combat vehicles
• Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs
• Knowledge in Reliability Engineering and related Standards/Processes
• Knowledge in Systems Engineering and related Standards/Processes
• Ability to present technical briefings to clients and internal stakeholders
• Familiarity with the ground vehicle requirements
• Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development
• Practical ‘hands on’ attitude with the ability to operate independently
• Detailed knowledge of Military Standards and regulations desired
• Applied working knowledge with a proven track record of delivery from concept to series production
• Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements.
• Experience of working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment.
• Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development and procurement.
• Familiarity with the US Army TACOM / TARDEC.
• Experience with Weibull++, Crow-AMSAA (Growth Model) software.
• Experience with engineering and supply chain management in a highly regulated industry.
• Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and be able to assimilate complex instructions easily. Ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff to establish productive relationships. Superior consultation, diplomacy, influencing and negotiating skills is required. Must possess the ability to explain complex concepts in a way that makes sense to someone less knowledgeable about the topic.
